Next step is to develop electrolytes allowing for fast and accurate Ca2+ ion transfer between the electrodes and proper solvation and de-solvation at the interfaces. The final goal is to establish the most promising choices of materials and compositions in terms of negligible ion pair formation, ionic conductivity and cation transfer, as well as chemical and electrochemical stabilities matching the electrodes developed in WP2. Processability and compatibility with standard cell manufacturing processes will also be assessed.
